These Ultimate Triple Chocolate M&M Brownies are made with melted chocolate, cocoa powder, dark chocolate chips and of course M&Ms. They take fudgy to a whole new level! Truly, a chocolate lovers dream!

I don’t know about you, but I made boxed brownies all the time as a kid. Of course, I always underbaked them because the fudgier the better. This is the only way to bake brownies, right? I knew I had to create my own brownie recipe that tastes BETTER than boxed brownies!

Ingredients for Ultimate Triple Chocolate M&M Brownies

  • Oil: Use a neutral oil like canola or vegetable oil.
  • Unsweetened Chocolate: You will need 4oz of unsweetened chocolate. I like to use Baker’s Bars.
  • Granulated Sugar: Use regular granulated sugar.
  • Eggs: The recipe calls for 3 large eggs.
  • Vanilla Extract: Do not use imitation vanilla for this recipe. Use pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.
  • All-Purpose Flour: Make sure to measure the all-purpose flour using the spoon-and-level method to ensure that the proper amount of flour is used.
  • Cocoa Powder: You can use Dutch processed or regular unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Salt: Used to balance the flavor of the brownies.
  • M&Ms: I like to use regular milk chocolate M&Ms for this recipe, but feel free to substitute with your favorite M&M!
  • Dark Chocolate Chips: Again, feel free to substitute with a different chocolate chip like semi-sweet or milk chocolate!

Tips for the BEST Ultimate Triple Chocolate M&M Brownies

  • Once you add the eggs, whisk for several minutes to ensure that the sugar dissolves completely. This also helps create the classic brownie crackly top!
  • Use Dutch processed cocoa powder for a more intense chocolate flavor.
  • Do not overmix batter once you add the dry ingredients. Overmixing will result in a cake-like texture!
  • Allow to cool before cutting!

  • Add in granulated sugar and whisk until combined. Once combined, add in the eggs. Whisk for several minutes until sugar is dissolved! Next, whisk in the vanilla extract.
  • Gently fold in all purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Mix in M&Ms and dark chocolate chips.
  • Pour into prepared pan. Top with extra M&Ms and dark chocolate chips.

  1. As soon as I saw the picture of brownies with M&MS I thought Peanut Butter M&Ms & Milk Chocolate Chips. I see that it’s OK to make an exchange of the last & most important ingredients. I can hardly wait to make these for my kids & grandkids. I’ll volunteer making dessert!
