Tips for the Best Guacamole:

  • Make sure your avocados are ripe.
  • The red pepper flakes are optional. Feel free to omit or add as much as you like.

How to store leftovers:

We all know it. Avocados turn brown really fast once cut. What I do to ensure that my leftover guacamole stays fresh is squeeze extra lime juice over the top. This will keep the guacamole from turning very brown. I use the leftovers no longer than one day after making. I mean, this is if you even have any leftovers;).

Simple Guacamole

  • 3 avocados
  • Juice of 1 1/2 limes
  • 1/2 red onion diced
  • 1 1/2 roma tomatoes diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes optional
  1. In a large bowl, mash together avocados and lime juice.
  2. Add in the red onion, roma tomatoes, cilantro, kosher salt, black pepper, cumin, and red pepper flakes (optional).
  3. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Serve with tortilla chips.
