Maple Glazed Apple Fritter Bread

What Ingredients do you need?

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup unsweetened apple sauce

2 eggs

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 3/4 cup AP flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp clove

Apple Filling:

2 apples

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Maple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

  • I prefer using Hunnyz, Honey Crisp, McIntosh, or Gala apples for this recipe.

Maple Glazed Apple Fritter Bread

Warm apple bread filled with all the cozy spices and perfectly layered with cinnamon apples. All I can say is that it is truly delicious!!

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup AP flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp clove

Apple Filling

  • 2 apples peeled, diced
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Maple Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp milk
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together oil, plain Greek yogurt, apple sauce, eggs, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and sugar until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Pour into wet ingredients and stir until just combined
  4. To make the apple filling, peel and dice apples and mix with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Top with half of the apple mixture. Pour the last half of the batter on top and then top with the remaining apple mixture.
  6. Bake for 50-60 min. Cool in pan and then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk. Glaze the cooled loaf.
