I had leftover oranges witting in my fridge, so I decided to use them to make a twist on a classic chocolate chip cookie, The chocolate and orange complement each other so well!

What Ingredients Do I Need?
- Butter
- Granulated Sugar
- Light Brown Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Orange Zest
- All-Purpose Flour
- Salt
- Baking Soda
- Dark Chocolate Chips/Chunks
Chocolate Orange Cookies
These chocolate orange cookies are chewy, crispy, and full of flavor!
- 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 2 oranges
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips/chunks
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream together butter and both sugars for 3-4 minutes until creamy. Add in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and orange zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Slowly add to wet ingredients and beat to combine.
- Stir in dark chocolate chips/chunks.
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop cookies on 2 cookie sheets. Top with extra chocolate chips/chunks. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Store covered at room temperature for up to 1 week.
