These Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins make the perfect breakfast or mid-day snack! They are made with white whole wheat flour and maple syrup, making them slightly healthier than your average muffin! You are going to love these muffins!

Chances are… you have a few ripe bananas sitting on your counter! Before they go bad, make these quick and easy Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins! They will not disappoint!

Ingredients in Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

  • Unsalted Butter: This recipe calls 1 stick (1/2 cup) room temperature butter.
  • Maple Syrup: These muffins are sweetened with maple syrup.
  • Eggs: Use large room temperature eggs for this recipe.
  • Bananas: Use 2 ripe bananas.
  • Milk: The recipe uses regular milk; however, feel free to use your favorite unsweetened and unflavored nut milk.
  • Vanilla Extract: Do not use imitation vanilla. Use pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.
  • White Whole Wheat Flour: Make sure to use the spoon-and-level method to ensure the proper amount of flour is used. Adding too much flour will lead to dense and dry muffins.
  • Cinnamon: Adds the perfect flavor to these muffins!
  • Baking Powder: This leavening agent gives these muffins the perfect rise and texture.
  • Salt: Balances the flavor of the muffins.
  • Chocolate Chips: I like to use dark chocolate chips for this recipe.
