Fudgy Double Chocolate Cookies
These Fudgy Double Chocolate Cookies are thick, rich, and a chocolate lover’s dream!
- 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips (plus additional for top)
- Beat together room temperature unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar for 3 minutes until light and creamy.
- Add in eggs, one at time. Beat well after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Beat until JUST combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Cover and chill the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes. If chilled overnight, allow to come to room temperature for 10 minutes prior to forming into balls.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Using a cookie scoop form cookie dough into large ball. Roll in extra chocolate chips. Place on parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes.
- Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
