Apple Pie Waffles
Light and fluffy waffles sweetened with maple syrup and packed with all the warm fall spices!
- 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp clove
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 apple peeled and finely diced
- Preheat waffle maker.
- In a large bowl, whisk together unsweetened apple sauce, milk, egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and salt to the wet ingredients. Whisk until just combined.
- Gently mix in peeled and finely diced apple.
- Pour into greased waffle maker and cook until golden.
- Serve warm with maple syrup and your other favorite toppings.
