Chocolate Orange Cookies

I had leftover oranges witting in my fridge, so I decided to use them to make a twist on a classic chocolate chip cookie, The chocolate and orange complement each other so well!

Tips For The Best Cookies:

  • Make sure to cream the butter and both sugars for 3 minutes!
  • Do Not Overmix!
  • Always top with extra chocolate chips before baking. You can never have to many. Trust me.

What Ingredients Do I Need?

  • Butter
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Light Brown Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla
  • Orange Zest
  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Salt
  • Baking Soda
  • Dark Chocolate Chips/Chunks

Chocolate Orange Cookies

These chocolate orange cookies are chewy, crispy, and full of flavor!

  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips/chunks
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream together butter and both sugars for 3-4 minutes until creamy. Add in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and orange zest.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Slowly add to wet ingredients and beat to combine.
  4. Stir in dark chocolate chips/chunks.
  5. Use a cookie scoop to scoop cookies on 2 cookie sheets. Top with extra chocolate chips/chunks. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Store covered at room temperature for up to 1 week.
